Tyndall's Annual Report Highlights Growing Indigenous Semiconductor Sector with Record Spinout Success

Tyndall National Institute has today published its 2025 Annual Report, marking a landmark year for research, innovation and industry engagement, highlighted by the launch of three new semiconductor spin-out companies and growing evidence of Ireland’s emerging indigenous semiconductor sector.

Irish EU Presidency welcomes Fisheries Ministers to UCC

University College Cork (UCC) continued to play a role in Ireland’s EU Presidency as a reception was held this week to mark the Informal Meeting of European Union (EU) Fisheries Ministers. This was the second event hosted by the Government at UCC as part of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Cultureways project awarded €750,000 from the Creative Ireland Climate Action Fund

An ambitious three-year project designed to enable behaviour change in Cork City by encouraging people to rethink and reduce the number of short car journeys has been awarded €750,000 through the Creative Ireland Climate Action Fund III (2026–2029).

University College Cork welcomes European Commission

As Ireland begins its Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Government of Ireland welcomed the College of Commissioners to University College Cork.
